Moonstone Crystal name: Moonstone Crystal kind: Feldspar Colours: White (the most pure form), cream, peach, pink, grey, all with an iridescent shimmer, especially in moonlight Crystal traditions: Romans believed that moonstones were formed out of pure moonlight. Moonstone is the symbol of moon goddesses everywhere. Because the moon was associated with female reproductive cycles from early times and the moon goddesses brought with love and fertility, the moonstone is the most powerful of all fertility crystals in almost every culture. Healing Properties: Moonstone is especially healing for all illnesses in women, though it helps with hormonal and thyroid problems with both sexes. For women it eases troubles with fluid retention, PMT. menstruation, pregnancy, childbirth, the menopause and fertility problems. Emotionally, a moonstone helps to lessen mood swings, insomnia, nightmares, and hormonal and stress-related headaches.
