What is left of the old healing ways of hearth and home have been over the centuries incorporated into more formal healing systems such as Reiki which preserved and developed them, but took them out of the realm of folk healing  and sometimes shrouded the techniques in secrecy.

Becoming a Healer

Spiritual healing draws power from higher energies such as angels and spirit guides. The healer acts as a channel between these higher healing powers and the person being healed. This means that even inexperienced healers can use this source of healing energy to assist their work. Just ask for your angels and those of the person you are healing to assist. Or call on Raphael the healing Archangel. Hold your hands close to an area of discomfort on some one you know well and allow healing light to pass through your fingertips.. Your hands will feel warm and you may sense liquid light flowing out. Move your hands wherever feels right using your fingers and sensitive palm chakras to guide you and allowing your hands to decide how long to stay in each place (you do not need to make skin contact).

Whether we are healing ourselves or transmitting healing to someone else, healing enters our chakra energy centre as light through the uppermost Crown chakra that extends above the head and is located in the centre of the  head where the skull bones fuse. You can work with this chakra on the top of your head and also in the centre of the hairline where the hair meets the upper forehead. This downward moving form of the life energy is very pure. This is the energy transmitted by angels and guides, sun and moonlight and is pictured as golden, silver, white or violet.

We also draw up healing energy from Mother Earth and from nature and via her related tools such as crystals and herbs or oils. The red and gold earth energy is transmitted through the soles of our feet and our perineum if we sit on the ground and through our hands as we hold a crystal. Both the sky and earth healing energies meet within the Heart chakra of the healer. The Heart chakra can be accessed around the area of the chest or between the breasts, though located like all the chakras within our spiritual body and radiates pink or green light. Both the downward flowing cosmic energy and the upward flowing earth energy draw power from other chakras within the healer as they ascend or descend,

If you pass either a crystal pendulum or your palms a few centimeters from a person’s body you will feel where energies are blocked or overactive. Move your hands or the pendulum or a crystal anticlockwise to unblock or to slow down over active energy. Then allow the movements to become clockwise to bring harmony and gentle healing to the whole system, Just with flow the movements. Our ancestors had no formal healing training for their home healing   

The mingled Heart chakra universal energy is transmitted whether for self healing or healing others via the healer’s hands as the hands touch the healer’s own body for self healing or the person being healed. This energy flow creates a circuit of power to unblock, harmonise and energise the body and mind being healed. You do not heal the patient but you give them the energy via your angels and guides to reawaken what may be blocking or balancing their own chakra system.
